San Francisco gallery Art Spoke is currently exhibiting their 4th annual art show tribute to the films of Wes Anderson called Bad Dads. It runs until November 24, so you still have a few days to get out SF way and see it. The show features over 100 artists offering their tributes and interpretations of Anderson’s beautiful and quirky films through painting, sculpture, screen prints and posters. Both original works and prints are available for purchase through Art Spoke’s web site. An opening night reception was held on Halloween weekend where attendees were asked to dress as their favorite Anderson film character, which they awesomely did. Art Spoke also supplied an appropriately decorated photo booth as well as hosting a screening of three Anderson films. I just adore this, not only for the amazing art, but also for celebrating the films of Wes Anderson. His films are some of my favorites. They feel like being cuddled into a cozy corner of the universe, with an extra comfy blanket wrapped around you while you read the most interesting and secret book in existence. Am I wrong? Enjoy some of the work and pictures from the show, please.
