Jumping In

Like most people, I find beginnings exciting yet daunting. Setting out on that maiden voyage gets the heart racing, the blood pumping, and you’re finally doing That Thing you’ve wanted to do for so long. But what if you mess up? What if things don’t turn out the way you’ve imagined them to? The What If’s can kill a journey before it even begins. A desire for perfection can paralyze us into complete inaction. And I think creative people have a tendency to suffer from this greater than most. The solution? Jumping in feet first, going forward, no looking back.

So here I am, finally starting my artist’s blog! Sure, it’s not exactly discovering a new world or uncovering a lost civilization, but its definitely That Thing for me.

What to expect here?

On a personal level: Works in progress. A view into my process, both conceptual and technical. News on upcoming projects. What inspires me, from other visual, musical and cinematic artists, to other fields of interests such as science and history, to every day life. On a more general level, I’ll be showcasing other artists’ works, upcoming shows in galleries around the world, and other news and trends from the art world. And not just from the fine art world, but also expect to see street art, outsider art, commercial art, video games, comic books, doodles, and any-old-where else I find stuff that interests me.

Please feel free to contact me with inquiries for commissions, as well as any questions about my art or anything else you see on this site.  And thanks for coming along for the ride!
